One of our biggest clients in the investment banking sector, approached us to complete a short-notice critical project. The request was part of a relocation of vital staff from their head offices, to a disaster recovery site near Heathrow. (Other staff were asked to work remotely where possible)
During the site feasibility review, it was discovered that the area reserved for the temporary staff had no UPS power coverage. A survey was completed the following day to determine where a new UPS supply could be sourced to feed the new desks. We provided a full design in less than 24 hours and proposed a programme in line with requirements. The proposal was immediately accepted and we proceeded with the procurement of equipment to meet the deadline. Our suggestion was to complete the works outside of business hours to minimise contact with client staff and any unnecessary cross-contamination. By providing a response at short notice, we have managed to keep the client's business moving and minimise the impact of current global events.
