The client approached us following a recent lifecycle report carried out internally. The report showed that their heating system had exceeded its recommended life cycle and required replacement, allowing for future expansion if necessary.
Metropolitan was engaged after the initial design stage and acted as Main Contractor for these works. The building remained live throughout, which was a critical consideration during planning. All necessary plant needed to remain operational during our programme of work. The project scope included the installation of New LTHW Pipework and Pumps, New Pressurisation Unit, Low Loss Header, A&D Separator, Commissiong Stations, Gas Solenoid Valve, Flue Alterations, Electrical Enabling Works, Full BMS Panel Upgrade to Tridium Niagara4. The system was adapted to enable the retention of existing secondary circuits and extended to support the future connection of additional boiler plant.
