The client had identified faulty gas fired heat exchangers within their AHU's and required a principal contractor to carry out a phased replacement.
Metropolitan acted as Principal Contractor, setting up site welfare facilities and ensuring works were carried out in accordance with CDM 2015. A full time site supervisor was positioned to carry out any necessary inductions and liaise between the incumbent maintenance contractor and our works. We surveyed the equipment to determine the works required to replace the heat exchangers safely before providing a detailed phasing plan of how we proposed to proceed. Each AHU was individually isolated, before replacing the faulty equipment and then re-tested and commissioned with a client witness to handover to BAU status.
