New Charity Partnerships
For many years, we have been a keen supporter of a diverse range of charities, usually via challenges or events where our staff participate with backing from friends, family, the company and its client base. These events are typically driven by staff ideas or by a genuine “call for help” from people in our communities.
We know that the pandemic has caused charities some serious financial setbacks, so as a collective we’ve decided to dedicate all our efforts towards 2 charities close to our hearts.
As a company the Majority of our staff come from specific geographical regions; London, Essex, Kent and East Sussex. For that reason we’ve chosen to partner with 2 charities who cover these areas, with all fundraising split equally 50/50 between them.
We are very proud to announce our new partnerships with Demelza Hospice Care for Children and Havens Hospices.
Demelza and Havens provide care and support to children with terminal and serious illnesses, and their families, adding life and happy memories to the days they have left together. Sometimes this may be only a matter of days, sometimes weeks or years as a condition progresses.
They are there for children and their mums, dads, brothers, sisters and grandparents, completely free of charge, 24/7, supporting them across Kent, Essex, East Sussex and London.
Families go through unimaginable situations caring for their very sick children. Some children have cancer, some might have epilepsy or cystic fibrosis or Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Others might have neurological problems or complex genetic conditions, some are so rare, they have no name. Metropolitan has decided whatever we can do to support these children and their families, through our fundraising efforts this year, we will be making a huge impact on helping to improve their lives.
With Metropolitan’s support through the remainder of 2021 and into 2022, we will be helping raise critical funds, supporting the incredible work these charities do, when these children need it most, whether that be in their hospices or at home.
Keep a close eye on our social media in the coming weeks, for updates on all our fundraising plans and events.
